A lot of people tag TMWFTE pictures as 1976, which is official release date of the film, but it was actually filmed in July, August, and early September of the year before. I just tag it as “70s” like a lot of Bowie pictures that I reblog/post. It makes it easier for me to identify a certain look that he had during that decade rather than wading through the Internet trying to find a specific year that a picture was taken, though I could identify the year a photo was taken if I wanted to. I’ve pretty much memorized the time and place of all the major photoshoots at this point, so … XD
